Through Arabic calligraphy, I seek to connect communities, honor our shared humanity, and turn walls into messages of love, respect, and tolerance.
eL Seed (born 1981, Paris) is a French-Tunisian artist renowned for his vibrant Arabic calligraphy murals that convey messages of peace, unity, and shared human experience. Exploring his heritage in adolescence, he learned standard Arabic and transformed calligraphy into a global tool for connection. His works have appeared worldwide—from the façade of L’Institut du Monde Arabe in Paris to the favelas of Rio de Janeiro, the DMZ in Korea, and the heart of Cairo’s garbage collectors’ community—always aiming to bridge cultures, challenge stereotypes, and amplify local voices.
